I’ve chosen this subject because I think it’s very exciting and interesting, and I would personally like to know more about the Klan itself, their way of thinking, and the reason to the Klan’s existence. I am wondering how someone can think and act like these people.

The organization ‘Ku Klux Klan’ was established in USA, 1865, right after the American civil war. The Klan was established by Nathan Bedford Forrest.

It started in the south, and that’s also where the situation is still worst. Later, the Klan has spread to many other states and countries. E.g. there is an organization in Europe too.

They are in favor of homophobia, racism, anti-Semitism, anti-Catholicism, and is best known for wearing white clothes and caps. They were wearing that, so they couldn’t get recognized, and to scare the previous slaves. It’s also a symbol of humiliation.

The national leader of the Ku Klux Klan is now Thomas Robb.

The purpose of the Klan was to deprive black people their civil rights. They tried to achieve their goals with terror, murder, mistreatments, and assault against black people. They have a record of using violence against afro Americans, and also white people, who were political opponents of what the Klan advocated.
