Some hate it but the majority loves it – the internet. But has the use of modern technology gone too far? And has is become a tool to avoid awkward conversations and intimacy? In richtel´s text we are presented with various communication programs for PC´s and mobile devices and phones. For example he tells about this new add-on for your phone called Slydial that is able to go directly to the other person’s voicemail. With this feature on your phone you are now able to avoid unwanted dialogue, with your boss, wife, or girlfriend. With Slydial you are able to talk without having to think about what the other person is going to say. The new technology has turned us into a bunch of cowards, who are afraid of intimacy. With slydial on your phone, you are able to consider how you want to break up and call in sick without preparing to answer difficult questions.
