The story is about a woman who is pregnant in her eight week. She doesn’t want the child because it was a mistake that she got pregnant. The guy who got her pregnant didn’t want kids and he called her at trashy whore who is why she does not want to see him anymore and to have the kid. But as the time passes by the woman decides to have the baby. She changes her mind because she meets a woman who can’t have kids. She meets the woman in a park where the main character has a bench which she likes to think of as her own. Sometimes she looks at it as if it was put there for her and her only. If a person comes up to the bench and wants to sit on it while she is sitting there she thinks it is good manners to ask if you may sit or if she mind you is sitting here.
The narrator is a woman who is a waitress. She is pregnant and does not want the baby. Her best friend is a girl called Barbie. Barbie often helps the narrator if she has got a problem or if she just needs someone to talk to. The narrator does not like other peoples that much because they sometimes come and sit on her bench. And when they do that they also begin to talk to her, and sometimes they even wants an answer which is a lot to hope for because why should she answer them, there is no reason when she does not know them.
