History of The Coca-Cola Company

The Coca-Cola Company has been started in 1886 by a doctor named John Pemberton.

He had a “drugstore” in Atlanta but his customers could also by these products he sold in other stores. Because of that he wanted to made something different, and it was the start.

In 1886 many people made there own tonic water and you also could buy this tonic water in drugstores. Pemberton tried to made her own tonic with a little bit of alcohol. This drink he called French Wine Coke, because of the wine and cacao extract. Later he took the wine out of the drink, and it was the beginning to this coke we have today. He sold the new drink and said to his costumers that the drink would get headache away. Suddenly all people bought the drink, also if they don’t had headache.

Because of that Pemberton went to his friend Jacob. He had a soda fountain, and Pemberton want to get his drink carbon dioxide. Now Pemberton had a tonic with fizz, and all people love it. But he didn’t had a name to his drink, but his bookkeeper had a proposal. He meant that the new drinks name should be Coca-Coca Syrup and Extract. That was the history about Coca-Cola.
