Cloths, Coca Cola, desperate housewives and fast food, they original came from America, but now comes to Denmark.
The American culture has been a large influence on Denmark for a while with food, movies, events and clothes. We usually can buy things from all over the world. Our young teens are totally addicted to the American culture, because we can see them on the streets, YouTube, schools and also in their home. It is everywhere in these days.
Why are our young Danish people addicted to the American culture?
The American food chain has been a huge success in Denmark; McDonald, Kentucky fried chicken, Burger King and Coca Cola. These companies are so successful in Denmark, because it was something cheap and you also get the food quickly. For example you were in Hovedbanegården and you was hungry, you can went to McDonald and get some quickly and everybody has money to buy a coinoffers as they named it. Coca Cola came to Denmark in between 1940-1945 (World War 2), and from there it became one of the worlds biggest drink brands. Coca Cola are still the largest brand ever.
The American television and movies has also caught the Danish youth. On account of the fact that from the technology that’s how we know to the American culture. Our generation have grown up with television and movies since we were kids. Kids’ favourite is obvious Disney.
