I am going to talk about Coca Cola, because I thought it was a subject with a lot of input from the topic Georgia, but also from the topic Success, and I figured that would be interesting.

How was Coca Cola created?

The Idea

The world-known beverage Coca Cola was invented all the way back in 1886, by a pharmacist named John Pemberton, in Atlanta in Georgia, which is also where the Coca Cola headquarters are located today. John had fought in the Civil War, and afterwards he wanted to invent something that would bring him commercial success. In his time, the soda fountain, which is a sort of diner, was rising in popularity as a social gathering spot, so making a soda-fountain based drink just made sense to him - and that was when the idea of Coca Cola first was born.

Purpose

John succeeded to invent the beverage, though as a headache cure as it was first supposed to be.

He never experienced the success of his invention though. John died before it got popular, and even before his death, he had sold Coca Cola. The Founder of the Coca-Cola Company was then, as a result of that, a man named Asa Griggs Candler.
