Characterization of the characters of “Dead poets society”

Todd Andersen:

Todd has an older brother called Jeffrey, who was valedictorian at Welton. Everyone expects Todd to be exactly like his brother. Todd is not like his brother. Instead, he is very quiet, and he is a bit of an introvert. Todd does not seem to have a close relationship with his parents. On the photo that Todd has taken with him to Welton, he does not seem to be a part of the family. With the encouragement of John Keating and the friendship of Neil Perry, his roommate, he learns to open up, express his feelings, and compose impressive poetry. (page 75) Todd's parents don't seem to care about Todd. They gave him the same monogrammed desk to years in a row. (page 83 line 15)

Richard Cameron:

Richart Cameron is a part of the group. He thinks that the schoolwork is hard, and he is slightly afraid, that he may not be able to keep up with it. (page 27 line 11) Richard Cameron (who just goes by “Cameron”) is a stiff, overly obedient student at Welton, and one of the most overtly villainous characters. Unlike his classmates, Cameron is skeptical of John Keating from the very beginning, and he echoes Headmaster Nolan’s criticisms of Keating. While Cameron attends meetings of the Dead Poets Society, he does so very reluctantly, since he’s terrified of being caught and expelled from Welton. After Neil Perry’s suicide, Cameron distances himself from the Dead Poets and informs on his classmates, ensuring that Keating is fired.
