I’m looking forward to see you at our school in Assens. It has a name of course, Assensskolen. It’s located in Skelvej in Assens. Assens is the name of our town. The school is quite good looking, but we do not have much money. When you’re in 9th grade, it’s hard with homework and all that stuff, I try to keep up as good as I can. We have a lot of mathematics and Danish. And then there are the secondary subjects as English, German, Science, Biology, etc. I think science is a lot of fun, so that’s something to look forward to. One of my favorite traditions is when we get to select one of three different races, the one I selected is called Off-road race, and it sounds to be a lot of fun. Every year, we used to have a big party with a lot of music and activities, but as far as I know, it’s saved away. In 9th grade we also used to have a big trip to abroad, but that’s also saved away, because of our needs for money. December 1st, must we take candy, sweets and sodas in school and decorate the class. We use to have a very big and important project every year, just when I think about it, I become very nervous. We have quite simple rules, we can’t run inside, but almost everybody do it, when it’s necessary. We can of course not drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes while we are in school. For example, when one person makes a lot of noise, and the teacher have told him several times to shut his mouth, he is send to the office, and sometimes the teacher sends a letter home, to the parents. You have to do your homework, but I think that’s a rule in every school. When you want to say something, you must raise your hand and wait for the teacher to select you. We don’t have specific rules for how to dress and how not to. But we can of course not go to school naked. We don’t have to wear school uniforms. And I think that’s a good thing, but it could also be interesting if we had to wear it. In another school in Esbjerg which is another city Denmark, I’ve heard that it’s forbidden to pull the pants half down as the boys do now and then here in Denmark. There’s a lot of homework in 9th grade. It isn’t that bad, if you know how to distribute the work. That was pretty much it about our school. I’m looking foward to meet you.
