What is ecstasy?
MDMA most usually known today by the street name Ecstasy (often shortened E, X, or XTC), is a semi artificial member of the amphetamine class.
There have long been suggestions that MDMA might be useful in psychiatric therapy, for self inspection with reduced fear, because of its ability to make people feel safer in the surroundings which they are in.
How is it used
Ecstasy is usually in pill form, but you can also get it in liquid form, but not under the same name. You can also crush the pill and sniff it
Why do teens start taking Ecstasy?
Group pressure
Most teens, I think, start taking drugs because it is around that age you start going to parties with your friends, and perhaps something in a place that you don’t even know. And if people who are regular users of drugs show up at that party they will might just try to make you take some. And your friends will maybe try to push you into taking it.
Temptations
I think that young people today are a really target group to have influence on, it has been more and more common that they go the parties, and get involved in the wrong kind of environment.
