Write your views on why some young people become criminals.
Young people might commit crimes do to different influential elements. When people are growing up they have to form their own identity and views and opinions. A thing which can have a big effect is group pressure. Some people feel pressured to do crimes because their friends say they should it or maybe their friends do it and they feel they have to do it too. Sometimes young people do something they do not want to do to impress their friends and still be a “member” of the group.
Another reason why young people do crimes can be that their parents do not have enough money to support their child/children. If the parents are drinkers or take drugs, some young people might go looking for some friends-groups which have a bad influence.
The parents of the children do not have to be poor, drinkers or drug users; they might be rich and have important jobs and be a way from their children a lot. This might influence the children to negative things in order to get the attention of their parents. Children of rich parents do not have any problems getting money to do the bad thing they want to do to get their parents attention.
