The film is about the forbidden love of William Shakespeare, he is in deep love with Viola Lesseps. In the beginning of this beautiful movie. Philip Henslowe, who owns the theatre, is in a dept to Hugh Fennyman. Then Henslowe offers Fennyman a partnership, just about when Shakespears is writing his new play “Romeo and Ethel the pirate daughter”. Henslowe promised to Fennyman that it was going to be big hit. But when he discovered, that his wife was cheating on him, he ripped the play in pieces and burned it. But when he tries to write a new one, he got a “writer’s block”. Then he tries to write a new play, there later on shall be called “Romeo and Juliet”.
When the audition is going on, a “boy” goes to audition he,s name is Tommy Kent, he was the last one in the line. Shakespeare was so impressed, that ran down the stairs, and on to the stage. But when he got there, he was already gone, he has escaped. Unknown to Shakespeare and the rest of the theatre young Kent was Lady Viola. Viola love all Shakespeare’s acts, and she want to full fill her dream, to become an acter.
