William Shakespeare was baptized 26 th of April 1564 and died 23 April 1616. I couldn’t find his accurate day of birth. William Shakespeare was born and raised in Stratford upon Avon.
He had seven siblings.
Shakespeare went to school, which wasn’t ordinary at time for the middleclass families. The middleclass was the rank the very class-divided. England had classified him, his family and forefathers as well.
In school he was taught Latin, grammar and math. He left school at age fifteen.
And he got married to Anna Hathaway at the age of 18.
We don’t know much about Shakespeare’s personal life but it is told that it wasn’t ever a particular passionate marriage.
At the age of 20 he became father for the second time. At this time they got twins, a boy and girl and had now two extra mouths to feed.
The Shakespeare family was Catholics at a time when Catholicism was against the law.
But the evidence that some scholars had was a Catholic statement of faith signed by John Shakespeare, found in 1757 in his former house in Henley Street.
The document is now lost, however, scholars differ on its authenticity. There had also been evidence about that his daughter in 1606, was listed among those who failed to attend Easter communion in Stratford.
