A Book Report about the TitanicThe title of my book report is Titanic. It’s not the story about Jack and Rose, but it’s a report about facts of the disaster of April 14, 1912.
The author of this book isn’t the author who was writing the movie Titanic – James Cameron. Their names are D. Newton and D. Smith. They lives and works in the United States of America and writes mostly for younger people. “Ghost in the Guitar” is another of their books, but I didn’t read it.
In 1912, Titanic was the biggest ship that was ever built. Everybody thought that titanic was very safe, but it was not as everyone had expected. The ship carried more than 2000 passengers, and has many decks, a swimming pool, a library, Turkish baths, and excellent restaurants and bars. There were rich and poor people, and of course it was the rich who got the best.
The Titanic leaves Southampton on April 10th, 1912 and sailed her first time, with Captain Smith in command. Everyone was happy and excited as the titanic sailed into the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean. On Sunday, April 14th, 1912 comes an ice-warning on this day! Captain Smith receives a message that there were icebergs in his path. But it was too late the mountain had already hit titanic. There were not lifeboats for everybody, as always the rich people were rescued first and the poor people had no chances to survive.
