Introduction
We have chosen the subject the Amish, because our teacher choose the it for us.
We will make some research on the internet and we will also get information from books.
Before we start with the project, we know that there are people called Amish and we also know that they live in America. We know that they are a separate part of the general society. We know also, that they have a different form of lifestyle.
We hope, that it will be an instructive project for us, and that it will be a good project.
The Amish history
The Amish people descend from the Anabaptist movement in Europe, which took place at the reformation time.
The anabaptize believed that only the people who had confessed their faith should be baptized, and that they should be separate from the larger society around them.
The Anabaptist people were much hated in many different countries and places. Both catholic and Protestants hated them, and many of them where killed. Therefore many of them immigrated to America and some of them fled to the mountains of Switzerland and Germany.
