Love at first sight: en novelle om mobning og svigt

Have you ever tried to be in love ? Have you ever been in love with someone you knew you wouldn’t ever have a chance to be with ? Here is my story.My name is Chris. But all my life I’ve been called “The Fat Kid”. I don’t really have any friends. I Guess I’m just not cool enough for the popular kids here at Watson High school. And when it comes to love around here, It’s all about the looks and how cool and popular you are. However, I don’t really want to be like them, because I’m not chancing my way of being. When you’ve been bullied all your life you know what I mean.But everything changed one day at gym class. I sat on the grass just outside the field as I always did, when Hannah suddenly came over and sat beside me. I was stunned. Hannah, the most popular girl sat beside me! I didn’t know what to say. Then she said: “Hey Chris, what are you doing ?”. At first I couldn’t even talk, but then I answered: “I’m.. I’m just looking at the clouds”. “Do you mind if I stay here and look too?” she said. “Not at all” I answered. Then she said something that really touched me. She said to me that she’d noticed that I had been bullied a lot, and she really saw the sweetness in me. She also said that looks didn’t mean that much to here. Again I was stunned. Why was Hannah suddenly being so sweet? It’s like she was hitting on me. But at that point I didn’t really think about that. Then Billy yelled: “Hey Hannah! Stop talking to that fat bastard and come over here!”. Billy was like the king in my class. The one all girls wanted. The guy who had everything. Including money, friends and a huge house. Overall just a big idiot who had bullied me all my life in school.Normally I don’t hate people. But it’s kind of hard when someone has more or less made you’re life a living hell. But when Hannah came to me that day and sat beside me, I felt for the first time in my life that I was the king. On my way home from school that day I took my headphones and my iPod, and heard “What A Wonderful World” by Lewis Armstrong. I felt loved. I was in love. Next day in Physics I sat in the back row as I always did by myself. Then Hannah walks in the classroom, and when she saw me she rushed over and sat beside me. The first thing she says is: “Hey Chris have you slept well ?”, and I was absolutely stunned again. My heart jumped around inside me. Why was she being so sweet? I couldn’t believe myself. But yet again I didn’t think about it afterwards. “Yes I have, thanks. How about you ?” I then answered, but then our teacher Mr. Willis said: “Chris! Your interrupting the lesson! Go to the principals office, now!” That was the first time I had ever been thrown out of any lesson we have ever had. But I wasn’t even sad or annoyed. Nothing could stop me. I had a friend, Hannah. It wasn’t possible to describe how happy I was with words.
