The picture is a painting. On it there is a car at the bottom driving into the city. The city looks empty, like a ghost town. On the right side of the car, there is a train that seems to have tipped, and grass is beginning to grow on the road. On the left side there are a lot of cars, which seems to have been standing still for quite some time. The buildings in the middle/top seem modern, with a lot of skyscrapers. It also seems like it has been a popular city, with a big highway leading into it, and bridges. So the year this painting is from is at least from 2016 and ahead. The nighttime makes the picture depressing, with all the abandoned cars, and the highway that isn’t taken care of. This city clearly looks like something that isn’t the happiest place in the world, and gives a good vision of how to paint dystopia.

The first thing to notice is the car, lonely driving into a dead city. The dark colors play a big role when characterizing the picture. The illusion you get from seeing the picture with such dark colors is that this city once were a happy place, but something took over, and lay it in ruins. This creates a really dramatic impact, and is not just used for decorations. We can tell that by looking at the shadows from the grass on the highway as an example. Some of it is totally black, and it looks like something evil crawling up to the car. The point of view is bird’s eye, which gives the impression of the viewer knowing what bad things that happened in this city, and that something bad will happen to this car.
