Travel Mail to your FriendDear Julia, I promised I will write to you when I got to New York, and of course I am. I came for six days ago, and I already got so much to tell you. I went shopping the first day, not so much, but I just wanted to see what it was like here in New York, and already the first day I got a good impression of New York. I think it is so beautiful, and people are so friendly, but it is perhaps only when you’re buying in their stores, because I met some people who were not so friendly to me too, but there will unfortunately always be people like that. I think it is some fantastic stores around here, they got stores like Gucci, Chanel and Louis Vuitton, it is luxury shopping in stores like that, but it is very expensive too, there are of course very general stores too. The stores I talked about before is on 5th Avenue, and in that street lies a museum I have been in, it is the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I think it was okay, although I do not like museums so much, I don’t know why, but it is just not my thing. The museum is actually one of the world’s largest museums, and has a great collection of over 150,000 paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs and design objects, it is a bit cool. I have read before that New York offers some of the world’s finest theatre, maybe I will see some of that, I have never really been in a theater before, so it will be the first time I think. There are many sights in New York, and I have seen The Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Ellis Island, Times Square, and as I mentioned before have I been on 5th Avenue and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and it was all exiting to see. I have planned to shop for one last time over here before I go home, because I have not bought enough yet, maybe I will buy some presents for some lovely people back home, we’ll see. I have had a great trip so far, and I hope it will continue until I go home. I am going home the day after tomorrow. Although it has been great to be here, I miss the things back home. It is also very different here in Ney York, compared to Denmark, there is so many people, so many places, so many places to eat, it is so big, and there is so much to deal with here, things that are complete opposite from Denmark. I think it is so fantastic here in New York, although I prefer to be in little Denmark. I can only recommend to take the trip to New York!There is probably some time before we see each other, when you live in England and me in Denmark, but I will look forward to see you.See you, love Freja.
