Antisocial behavior among young people in the U.S.

Currently the phenomenon antisocial behavior is a much discussed subject in the U.S. Today the behaviors of the young people have changed and have become an issue in society. But what has changed? – And why has antisocial behavior become such a huge problem? Several young people truant from school and instead of sitting in the class and becoming smarter, and thereby getting an education which they need later on in their lives, they spend their time in streets. Some of these young people vandalize shops or behave out of order in their own town. ”The proportion of 16 to 17 year-olds not in education, employment or training has increased from 7 per cent in 1997 to 9 per cent this year”

As we can see the number of young people no choose not to get an education has increased. However, it is not just 16 to 17 year-olds who truant from school. Already in the age of 14 to 15 young people roam the street. The problem that young people at the age of 16 drop out of school without passing their examination they don’t get the skills to succeed in labour market. According to several researches they show that young people who leave school in an early age have tendency to become criminal later. In USA the absences in middle school is huge. If I look at my own life I admit that I have truanted from school some time. However, I don’t believe that my absence can compares with youngsters the in U.S.
