The 19-year-old boy Joel Davis has won the award of “Young people of the year”. He started a tutoring service, where he would help other kids and teens with their homework if they struggled. The young boy helped well over 170 kids with their homework, getting them better grades and therefore also better opportunities in the future. The award is all about honoring the youth, who puts in hard work to achieve their goals, which is why they awarded Joel the prize of 500. In the near future, he plans on setting up a website to make his teaching accessible to everyone, so that he can help even more. Joel is from a district of London called Islington. His family were very poor, and his mother was sick. The young boy struggled to read at school, but he did not get any help which was what inspired him to start helping other kids like him out. Joel has just now addressed that he wants to spend the money he won from the award on improving his educational homework service. He is also glad that he won the prize because that brings a lot of spotlight on the topic which Joel means is important
