As we all know it’s today 50 years since the legend, Martin Luther King, Jr. died. We know Martin Luther King as the freedom fighter who helped the African Americans gain their rights. We know him as the peaceful and kind man who did his best to help everyone around him. Some of us even know him as our hero.
Martin Luther King was a man of his words. He had a dream which I believe everyone knows about. At least all the Americans should know about this. It was not just a regular dream, it was a dream that has now effected the American culture and everything that makes us American.
Martin Luther was born in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A on January 15th 1929. Martin’s mother always told Martin not to listen to the evil words of hate that the other kids told him. All the racist remarks he got. He was told that he was special and that one day he would become something big. His mother told him about how the first slaves came to America. She told him about how even his own grandfather had been a slave. Martin began to understand where all this racism and discrimination came from.
