Ku Klux Klan is the name of few racist and terrorist organizations in the USA, generally in the southern states. The first Klan was founded in 1865. The six founders of the KKK were young, around 20-25 years old. They were kind of bored, so they tried to find something interesting to do. The members of KKK founded a secret society. Young people put white sheets on, made to holes for eyes and went on the roads of their town. When black people saw them, they began to be apprehended. Because they thought that KKK members were spirits of the dead confederate (southerners).

The first time they only frightened people, the killing didn’t begin immediately. By the end of 1868 the number of KKK members has reached 600 thousand. They wanted to save the country from invasion of black people and give blacks the rights, which will be comfortable only for white. There was included the vow- “Do not allow equality of black and white”. Members of KKK attacked black people and everybody who fought for the rights of blacks.

The Ku Klux Klan got a name “Invisible Empire of the South”. The organization operated in 45 states. KKK was the most supported in Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina and Louisiana. The organization had complicated system of conspiracy. They never met each other in the same place.
