On the 13th December, are we celebrating Saint Lucia day with Lucia parade, white dresses and candles. But why are we doing that? Who is/was Saint Lucia? That`s some of the questions I`ll try to answer in this essay.
Who is/was Saint Lucia?
Saint Lucia is also known as the sacred Lucia of Syracuse, which is this town`s patron saint.
The legend tells that Lucia’s mother had a stomach disease, and therefore went with her daughter to St. Agathe of Cathania’s grave.
