Forrest Gump: plot, karakterer og analyse

Young Forrest was born in at little town called Greenbow in Alabama. He was born with bad legs, so he walked on leg braces almost all of he´s childhood. Overcoming his physical handicap one day when he is attacked by other children with rocks, his friend Jenny tells him to "run, Forrest, run." he runs off, with his braces breaking off and he discovers that he can run very fast, latter he runs from the same guys, but this time they are in a car, he runs through a football field, a coach see´s it and tell him that he can come on college to play football. He plays at the Alabama University and his running abilities give him great success. He goes at the university for five years and gets his degree, which is good since he is an “idiot” with an IQ of 75.After university he gets in the military, to do service in the Vietnam War, he gets a new friend called Bubba, he tells him about shrimps. They are being attacked and Forrest carries wounded members of his platoon out of the jungle, but he gets shoot in his ass during his attempt to help his platoon. During the war his best friend Bubba dies. When he comes back to the USA he gets the Medal of Honor. After the war he gets an expert in playing ping pong and earns a lot of money by saying in the TV that he likes some ping pong bats better than other. After his success on the all American team of ping pong, he uses his money on a shrimp boat to start in the shrimp business, to honor his old friend bubba. In his attempt to honor his old friend bubba, his other old friend lieutenant Dan Taylor joins him. A hurricane appears and destroys all boats in the area except for theirs, giving them an instant monopoly, the scrimping gives them a great success. Later he buys a part of the company apple so he doesn’t need to think about money any more. He goes back to talk with his old love of his life, jenny, they get a kid called Forrest and they settle down in a little town to live happily ever after, but jenny dies on the March 22, 1982, making Forrest the only parent to little Forrest, a bright child who attends school.
