A brief introduction to the plot – without revealing the ending.It’s written by James Cameron, the same person who wrote Titanic and Avatar. Sanctum is about some cave divers, who is going to the biggest cave in the world, in Papua New Guinea in Asian. The leader of the cave divers group is Frank McGuire, and his son Josh. Josh brings two friends along, Carl and Carl’s girlfriend Victoria. When they enter the cave, a tropical storm starts to take shape on the surface, and quickly evolves into a full tropical storm. The storm blocks the only way out, and the water level starts to rise inside the cave, they need to find a way out fast! But on the way out they start to run out of oxygen, so of human nature they start to fight about the oxygen flasks. Josh needs to drown Frank to end his sufferings, because Carl and Frank gets into a fight over the oxygen flasks, while fighting Carl injuries Frank badly. Carl throws Frank on the ground and he lands on a sharp stone and can’t breathe, Josh tries to stop Carl from killing Frank by throwing a torch at him. Josh loses everyone he holds dear, and is left as the only one alive in the cave.
