George W. Bush was the 43rd president of the United States of America and he was preceded by Bill Clinton. He was elected in 2000 and took office in 2001. Before that his was the governor of Texas. He was born in 1946, and he graduated from Yale in 1968 and Harvard in 1975. After his long education he started working in oil businesses. He also founded a company or three by himself, but unfortunately for him, they all went bankrupt. Of course it is not a proper life to be an abject failure, so he decided to go in to politics as his father.

He was a republican, and in 2000 he ran for presidency and he was competing against Al Gore who was a democrat. It was very close, actually so close that the one who won in Florida would win the election. In every news channel it was announced that Al Gore had won the election, but suddenly Fox said that they had made a mistake; that it was really George Bush, who had won. All the other news channels couldn’t know for sure, but if Fox said it, it must have been true. How did George Bush get away with something like this? Well, it helps if your brother is the governor of the state in question, if the one counting the votes is also the one running your campaign and if your cousin works for Fox.. Actually there were many overwhelming evidence of misconduct. A lot of black people were disenfranchised, according to many members of the House of Representatives, so they objected, but they couldn’t do anything about it, since they needed a senator to sign the protests, and no one would.
