No!
Rosa Parks
Rosa Parks in the front seat looking through the window
Rosa Parks is an African-American woman that used to work hard as a seamstress in a department store in Montgomery, Alabama. She's the one that gives black people hope.
0n December 1, 1955, Mrs. Parks was tired and took the bus home. Suddenly, the bus driver asked her to give up her seat for a white passenger. Nevertheless, Mrs. Parks refused. She just said ´no´.
Why did you say ´no´ Mrs. Parks?
Because I was tired and I couldn’t take it anymore. I realized that I might be going to jail if I said ´no´ but I couldn´t give up all the good work I accomplished for the colored people in the past 12 years.
How did it feel when your friends supported you by not riding the bus on Monday?
Well, it felt really good because at that time I knew that I wasn’t the only one fighting against the government.
When you received all those phone calls saying you should be killed, how did you react?
