LoveactuallyMark (Andrew Lincoln) and Juliet (Keira Knightley) The history of Mark and Juliet

At Juliet and her fiancé Peter’s wedding, Mark is Peter’s best man and he also has the job of video recording the event. He’s secretly in love with Juliet, and during the wedding ceremony he records only Juliet.

At the wedding Mark and Peter’s brother (I think it is his brother) has secretly arranged that Peter’s brother and the church’s gospel choir should sing “Al You Need is Love” by the Beatles. So when Juliet and Peter walk down the aisle, they start singing, and Juliet looks at Mark in a very happy way.

Later in the movie Juliet visits Mark to get the wedding tape. Mark shows her the tape in a very reluctant way, and that’s the point where you find out that Mark is in love with Juliet. But the two of them don’t talk about this.

At the end of the movie the last scene with Mark and Juliet is when Mark shows up outside of Peter and Juliet’s house. He rings the door bell, Juliet opens the door, while her husband is watching tv, now Mark without saying a word with some signs tells that he loves her (and that he knows that he can’t have her) while a tape recorder is playing Christmas songs. When Mark has finished showing the sings and playing the songs, he leaves. Juliet comes running out in the street after him and kisses him and runs back inside. The finishing sentence is Mark saying: ”Enough for now”.
