First I have found some information about preparatory schools:
In the United States a preparatory school, or prep school, is usually a private secondary school (or high school) designed to prepare a student for higher education. In the United Kingdom and some parts of the Commonwealth of Nations, or preparatory school is a private school, designed to prepare a student for fee paying Public Schools. The age range catered for may be only eight - thirteen year olds, or it may include younger pupils as well. ...
Essay:
After seeing the documentary, I find it very insensitive to put up a little child for Preparatory School. It is like giving them away in a very young age.
The children are only 8 years old, and too young to be away from home.
In the beginning, I think that the children are very lonely, because they do not know anyone and the school is large and unfamiliar. I think that many children feel failure from their parents. They maybe feel that the parents did not want them, and put them away.
I really understand that the children are being homesick. They only see their parents every 3rd. week. I think that there will be a lack of love between parents and child. The parents do not form their children, the way they want them to be.
