”Shut up” yelled my brother, “I’ll hang out with whoever I want to!” My dad was furious, but instead of following Jason into his room, he just went downstairs into the living room. My parents have not been satisfied with Jason for a long time now. They think his friends have a very bad influence on him. He often gets in trouble when he is with his friends, but this time it was way more serious.
Jason was becoming a racist. I first noticed when he looked at black people in a very unusual and weird way. I never thought much about it, but now I know exactly what’s going on. He has never taken school seriously, and he has gotten himself in trouble ever since he was ten years old. But now it’s worse than ever. The teachers from his school call our parents at least twice a week, and often he skips school. He even gets into fights, but luckily that doesn’t happen so often. When he comes home from school, he either hangs out with friends, or goes right home. He doesn’t do his homework anymore, instead he just sits in his room listening to music on his Ipod, and writes with his friends on the computer. Sometimes when Manchester United plays, he stays up all night to watch the game, and then next day he skips school because he is too tired.
