The story is about a boy called Link. Actually it’s not his real name, but his real name is never mentioned in the book. Link is homeless, but the society won’t help him, because he ran away from his home. Well actually he was send away by his mums boyfriend Vincent, or Vince as they call him. I the beginning he dropped by his sister’s place sometimes to get a bath, and clean clothes. But he already knows he has to leave his hometown, Bradford, and go to London. After spending Christmas at his sister’s place he leaves for London.
While Link is still walking around in Bradford, Shelter is about to launch his plan. He wants to create an army of homeless, but it’ll be an army of dead homeless. He thinks his mission is to get all the homeless of the street by eliminating them all.
When Link arrives in London he first rent a place to stay for two weeks, he tries to find a job, and to get money, but whatever he does he can’t find a job to earn money. He has to live on the street. On his first night he meets Ginger who is homeless too. He teaches him how to live on the street, and how to beg, and where to sleep. But then they ran into Shelter whom they ask for money, but he won’t give them anything. But they laugh at him when he walked away, and he decided to kill them some day.
