Stone Cold is a story about a boy who runs away. We don’t know what his real name is, but he calls himself Link. At first in the history, Link lives with his mom and his stepfather. Link loves his mom but he really hates his stepfather, so he decides to run away. Link goes to London to get a job and a new home. But nothing goes the way he wanted it to. He finds a place, but the rent is extremely high. He does not find any job, and soon he is living on the streets like all the other homeless people. Link is very sad about living on the street. But then he meets Gail. Link and Gail become good friends, and in Links head maybe a bit more than that. One day Link meets a guy called Ginger, and they become friends too, and stick together in the tough life as homeless, until one day Ginger disappears. Link and Gail find out that he was last seen with some man. Links investigates it, and finds Shelter. Shelter is a former military man, who has gone kind of crazy. He finds homeless people and kills them to make an army of homeless people. Shelter is about to kill Link to, but Gail, who turns out to be an undercover journalist, comes to rescue him. The book is written by a man called Robert Swindells in 1993.
