This case study is about the Danish election of the Parliament of Denmark 2011. This study investigates the outcome of the election and the various variables that influences. All these variables and factors is summarized in a chart at the end of this project, this is a plausible model of what it takes to win such an election. To come to these conclusions this study analyses the elector profiles of two parties Venstre and Socialdemokraterne. Afterwards the study gives an analysis of a TV debate with the top two candidates for the prime minister position, concerning rhetorical and argumentation means. Subsequently this case study mentions some factors, which is summarized in a chart, to describe the plausible outcome of such an election. The results show that, all other things equal, personal appearance is a huge factor in the elector’s choice, based on the TV debate with the two candidates. This study mentions certain variables that influence in electors preferences, which are personalization of the candidates and a theory of issue voting. These two factors can have an effect of political decisions. On the other hand the political parties and the politicians are aware of this theory, and therefore they customize their political program and appearance.
