I chose this topic, because I really respect her. She did not want anyone to be in charge of her. She sat in the right place, so why should she move? I think it was so brave do that, association almost had a failure instead of doing what everybody else did. She was steady and strong woman.
Who was Rosa Parks?
Rosa Louise Parks was born 1913 February 4 in Tuskegee, Alabama. She was a black American seamstress, and later she became role model and an icon of resistance to racial segregation. When she was two years old, her parents got separated and she moved with her mom and brother to her grandparents’ farm. Until she was eleven years old, she was home-schooled by her mom, and after that she started on a private school, and it was called the Montgomery Industrial School for girls. She attended college, but she had to take care of her sick grandmother, and later she cared for her mother. She got married with a barber named Raymond Parks, and they were active in NAACP, National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People. She died 92 years old on October 25, 2005.
