Plot summary: 'Hooligans'

In ”Hooligans” you follow a Harvard student Matthew (Matt). In the start of the movie, he gets unjustly expelled from Harvard because of a “stash” of cocaine found in his purse. It wasn’t his cocaine, the cocaine belongs to Jeremy Van Holden, his roommate. Matthew was scared to speak up because the Van Holdens are a powerful family, and Jeremy pays him $10,000 for taking the fall. After that, Matt moves to Newham, England, to live with his sister, Shannon. Shannon’s husband, Steve, is an earlier major of the West Ham United fan-group “GSE”. He is known as the “major”. The new major, is Steve’s little brother Pete. Pete is a schoolteacher at a local school, and on the same time he is running the firm GSE. But Matt doesn’t know. Pete is in charge to take care of Matt. But for both’s best, he tries to let Matt go alone in newham, because Pete is going to see west ham United play a football match. But Matt insists joining Pete. Matt meets Pete's friends and his firm at the local pub, “Abbey”. All of the hooligans is very nice to Matt, except Pete’s good friend and “right-hand man” Bovver. He is from the start not friendly and not showing his kindness to Matt.
