Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X are two very different men and at the same time two men very much a like and they both had a desire to make the world a better place, like many before and after them. They where two men who dreamed and wished for a better world but more importantly they did everything in there power to do just that.
Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X grew up in different environments. King was raised in a comfortable middle-class family where education was stressed. On the other hand, Malcolm X came from an underprivileged home. He was a self-taught man who received little schooling and raised to greatness on his own intelligence and determination. Martin Luther King was born into a family whose name in Atlanta was well established. Despite segregation, Martin Luther King's parents ensured that their child was secure and happy. Malcolm X grew up believing that the black man would never be secure or happy if chance was not pursued. Therefore it makes all the sense in the world that King and Malcolm X have different ways of getting what it is they where fighting for, I almost think it is wrong to refer to them in the past because the memory of them have outlived them for years and years.
