Humans have been drinking alcohol for thousands of years. The first descriptions of alcohol was found in Egypt in a book called ‘The Dead Book’ which is over 3000 years before our time calculations (3000 years before Christ)

Beer was a very important Egyptian drink. It was a drink for adults and children alike. It was the staple drink of the poor (wages were sometimes paid in beer), it was a drink of the rich and wealthy, and a drink offered to the gods and placed in the tombs of the dead.

The first alcoholic drinks were presumably caused by natural fermentation by, for instance fruit.

Normal fermentation processes stops when the alcohol percent reaches 10-15 percent.

The word Alcohol is from the Arabic word ‘al-kuhúl’ which means ‘The finest ingredients’

How the alcohol affects your brain, nobody knows. The only thing that people know is that it changes your understanding and the communication between the brain cells.

Drinking has become very common, young people starts in a young age and its becoming a problem. It’s leading to crime, abuse and stupidity. Young people that drink before age 15 are four times more likely to develop alcohol dependence than those who begin drinking at age 21.
