Australia is a movie about a British woman, which travels to Australia. The reason why she travels to Australia, is because her husband owns a big cattle station there, the station is called Faraway Downs. Her name is Sarah Ashly, and her husband’s name is Maitland Ashly. Sad as it is, but the day Lady Ashly arrives at the cattle station, her husband Maitland gets murdered. Rumors say that the killer is the old aboriginal man, called King George. It is said that King George is a great magician, who knows every little bit of the land. It is also said that he has got the ability to sing people to him. Because of Maitland’s death, the cattle station is now left over for Lady Ashly. Lady Ashly is soon to discover that a lot of aboriginal people live on the station, and that the local sheriff is looking out for them, especially the kid Nullah who is a creamy boy. The reason why the sheriff wants to get hold of Nullah, is because he wants to send him to a missionary island. Nullah’s mother lives on the station to, and she is the daughter of King George. The reason why Nullah is creamy, is because his father is a white man called Neil Fletcher, who actually was the manager of the station. Neil hates the fact that he has a creamy son, and denies it every second of his life. Neil Fletcher is actually an undercover rat, because he is also working for another cattle company, owned by a man called King Carney. King Carney has the intention to buy Faraway Downs and he was the one who ordered the hit on Maitland, and it was executed by Neil. Carney wanted to stop Maitland from getting the army contract. WW2 is closing in on Australia and the army needs a lot of cattle to feed their troops. Because of that, Lady Ashly, Drover- a cattle driver that Lady Ashly falls in love with, Nullah, an old alcoholic, and an aboriginal called Magrii takes up the challenge to drive the cattle across the country. It is a long and daring trip, and on their way to Darwin, the old alcoholic man gets run over by the cattle and gets killed. They reach Darwin just in time to get the army contract. The mood is good, and it is all celebration, until Nullah gets taken away to Mission Island. A few days later, the Japanese navy starts their attack on Darwin, and the first place they hit is Mission Island, where Nullah is. Drover goes on a rescue mission to save Nullah and all the other creamy children on Mission Island. All the boys are saved and Nullah gets reunited with Lady Ashly, and Neil Fletcher dies, and they all get a happy ending. Except for Neil…
