Analyse af 'The Baddest Dog in Harlem'

I have been giving the task to analyse the essay “The Baddest Dog in Harlem”. With this analysis we are going to work with the text, so that we could have a better view with the text and it will be help us to better understand the text as well.

Summary of the short story: The short story is about some people and happenings in Harlem. We follow the “I person”, and some other people who is arguing which fighter is the best in the world, when suddenly a couple of cop cars appears, and the cops begins to ask some questions. More cop cars appears and people in the street is being told not to move and the cops starts pointing at a window in a building. After some time, a cop slips in some dog shit and his gun goes off, which releases in all the cops starts shooting at the window. The owner of the apartment that just got shot up, comes by at starts shouting at the police. The lady owning the apartment, some cops and the “I person” goes up to the apartment to like at the place. The suspect isn’t there, but the place is totally shot up and on the floor a dog lays totally shot up also. On the way down again the police notice another door and storms that apartment also, after some shooting going on, the police leaves again and the “ I person” looks inside where a young boy has been shot, and he isn’t breathing. After that down on the street some are asking if a dog got shot, and there were wasn’t more to it than that.
