Capital punishment is a way to punish very bad crimes, a capital punishment means execution of the criminal, many countries stopped using capital punishment but some countries still use this terrible way of punishing the criminals.
In USA some of the states still use capital punishment, if you did something very bad, like killing other peoples just to give an example, you end up on Death Row, which is the prison you were you wait to be executed, and in many cases they wait on Death Row for years, some of them even 20 years or more, just walking around getting the message “Tomorrow it’s you”. In Texas which is the state with most people’s condemned to death the average time on Death Row is just over 10 years. While they are on Death Row they can watch TV, write, read, and contact lawyers, they get sufficient food, a warm place to stay and they are allowed to get exercise, in Florida they are in a cell, with a bed, toilet, washbasin and they can watch TV, listen to radio, but if they want to watch TV or listen to radio they have to bring it there themselves, they spend all their time in the cell, except for showering, which happens every day, and exercise and some visits by friends or relatives, they always wear handcuff’s when they are outside the cell, except in the shower or during the exercise.
