Heather turned shocked back to the tent and just sat down, glaring out at the trees where she had thrown the bundle of sticks. Mike looked at her in a weird way and said: “What’s wrong Heather?.” Heather didn’t react, he asked again, she didn’t react, he sat down beside her and wrapped his sleeping bag around her and put his arm around her shoulders and asked silently: “Is it josh?.”. She nodded in the direction she had found Joshes shirt. He looked at her with a worried expression on his face and slowly got up on his feet and walked over at the direction she had nodded. He almost screamed when he saw Joshes shirt lying there with blood on it and teeth and hair all over it. Mike took the shirt and walked crying back to Heather that looked at him with a lost look on her face.

After about one hour, Mike broke the silence and said: “We should make some breakfast to make us think of something else”, Heather just nodded again. Mike stood up and went to the tent to find some canned beans, canned fruit and some canned sausages. He sat down beside Heather and asked her for the can opener. Heather trembling opened her mouth and said: “Josh had it.” and began crying unrestrained. Mike clamped a tear out and looked at the cans. There were about 15 minutes of silence before Mike said: “Well no breakfast today” trying to be funny. Heather just gave him a dead look. Then Heather finally took initiative and stood up and said: “We should try to search for him; maybe there are some blood stains we could go for”. They walked over to the place where they first saw Joshes shirt. Indeed there were blood stains on the ground to go for, quite a lot actually. It looked like he had been dragged along the ground. They walked for a mile or so when they began to be able to smell dead. After 20 meters Heather gasped loudly and when Mike looked at the direction Heather had gasped he almost fainted. It was Josh or what was left of him. He was leaning up against a tree almost if he was sleeping. His eyes were torn out, he was missing his whole jaw and there was a big hole where the heart should be, except there was no heart. Suddenly they heard a sound of an old woman laughing, it sounded like it was coming 100 meters behind them but it was too loud to be so far away. Heather looked in the direction she thought it was coming from, when she looked back Mike wasn’t there and the lough sounded like it was right beside her. When she looked she saw a glimpse of something that looked like an old woman in some ragged clothing. She didn’t get to see more before she was hit right in the chest by something huge. It felt like she was hit by a tree trunk and she flew 2 meters back and landed on her back. When she looked up she only saw some kind of deformed head bending down to her heart and then everything went pitch black.
