1: The setting: When and where is the story set? In his living room, his house, Birmingham, Alabama 1966

2: He is showing off! Bragging. Even though he says something self.

What/who is he speaking about in the text:

Wife: not that good looking but a good wife. She is crying Martha kay: scared of the noise from a gun. Cries a lot like her momelleh jean: Painting her face. Kind of sassy. Liar, bitch! Livingroom: not big but big enough for his familyThe store: his other half. The heaven. The best of the best bestestesThe people: You can´t trust them. The dumb city. The Old Ezmo: DA black low class nigger entering da store. Often says he will pay another day.

Analysis and interpretationWhat consequences does it has for the store that it´s told in First-person: we see everything in his perspective. The consequence here is that we can´t be sure that it’s the truth.

How do I see him and how does he see him. He have any values? He have his store that he works very focused on. He loves his works and to me that’s a great value. He see himself as a god of the city. He sees himself as the best of the best bestestes. Not exactly as how I see him. He is Racist, he only sees the worst thing in people and the best in himself. He is very rude to everyone. He talks about the niggers in a bad way. He talks about the citizen of the city
