Hello, everyone at the London school of Economics, my name is Henry Jackson. I am a PR assistant at Tesco. I am here today to tell you about some challenges which Tesco is facing right now.

Tesco has been facing a few challenges lately. The service at Tesco has fallen and the financial crisis is affecting Tesco. We at Tesco needs to reconnect with our customers and make the customer to feel like they are home when they come to our supermarkets. We already made some changes in the supermarket. For example, we have changed the colors in the supermarket so it looks nicer and warmer. The colors in our supermarket are softer and it will make them comfortable. In addition, our Tesco products are getting a makeover so they will look more modern and fresh. It will give the customer a new experience and the quality is getting higher. We expect that this makeover at Tesco will increase the sale and appeal more to the customer. Tesco is also buying product of fresher and better quality. Therefore, the fruit looks very fresh for the customer and they are more willing to buy fruit at Tesco instead of other supermarkets. They are also having a bakery in their supermarket with fresh bread on the shelves. The smell from the bread will make the supermarket very attracting for the customers and this will help the feeling of ‘being home’. It will also increase the income for Tesco and help them reconnect with their customers.
