If we were to legalize death penalty, there will be both pros, and cons. The cons of legalized death penalty could involve the total sum of money for prison, or death penalty. If you had to execute a person, it would be costlier, then to keep prisoners in jail, for a long period, and the money saved, could be used for other helpful deeds, which the state is needed to deal with.
Legalized Death penalty is supposedly going to spread awareness among the criminal age group, which would act as a scarecrow, to prevent future committed crimes. Families will also be brought some piece upon, thinking they will not be harmed by the same criminal once again.
Once, death penalty was a very unsecure method, because it was not entirely sure that they had the right criminal at hand, but nowadays, modern technology and DNA testing can be successfully used to find the right criminal, and let that person be put to sleep. Even though this method is not completely safe, it is much better than to guess only of clues
Cons:
The biggest con, without a doubt is of course that you take a human life, and then you can debate whether or not it is humane to do so. You could then argue if you’re just as the criminal, if we say that the criminal killed a person, and what does that make us, if we’re just as bad as the criminals?
