The Death penalty is also known as capital punishment, and are used in all countries in the old days. Today maintains 58 out of 197 countries the death penalty. The death penalty will be used as a punishment for the crime a person committed. It is the heaviest and most severe punishment there exists.

In Denmark is the death penalty prohobited now, but in the old days we used the death penalty a lot. The death penalty was abolished in 1930 but restored from 1945 to 1950 in order to execute Nazi events. In older times, the death penalty is often accompanied by torture, on that time we used terrible methods like boiling, burning at the stake, amputation of limbs or death by elephant. The rules in Denmark is quite different from the United States. In the United States they still use the death penalty, they user not the methods as they did in the old days, but now the most commonly used methods of execution today's shooting and hanging. In the United States uses states with the death penalty primarily by Lethal injection. It's actually a kind of wird, why there is such a so big difference on the laws in different countries, but there is no answer to this, it's just the way it is.
