In the middle of 18th century, while USA was in a time with tremendous growth, there was an economy defense between north and south America. The production and industrial was good build in the north, and the farms wasn’t not used so much in the north, but in the south region they’re economy was based on agriculture, and it was the slaves who did all the hard work at the farms. When the Abolitionist was growth in the north, the south economy was in danger.

CIVIL WAR IN VIRGINIA

George b. McClellan replaced General Winfield Scott as supreme commander for the Union army in the start of the Civil war. Was liked by his soldiers, but his reluctance to move did Lincoln frustrate. In 1862 McClellan his army though the half island between York and James Rivers, he takes over Yorktown.

In the beginning of 16th century used the European new settlers in the north slavery as a cheap labor, instead of a normal worker. it started when a Dutch ship came with 20 kidnapped Africans to Jamestown in Virginia, and after that it spread all over other colonies. The slaves were primary working at tobacco and rice plantations at the south coast. It is difficult to say how many slaves there where in America, but some historians says about 6 to 7 million slavers was imported to America.
