Amerikansk borgerkrig

The Civil War in America was a political and military conflict between 1861 -1865 and lasted for four years. The war was basically a conflict between the Northern states and the Southern states and had the abolishing of the slavery as a main matter. In about 1804 slavery had been abolished (ophæve) in the Northern states, but was still used in the Southern states . Here they used the slaves in the fields when they grew tobacco, cotton, rice, corn and sugar. The Northern states were more modern than the Southern states. The Southern states were more based on agriculture.
