Reasons for choosing this topic: I chose this topic because I think it is really important to know how the generation before us survived during the World War 2. And also how they were evacuated and where.
Accounting for my topic:
The beginning of evacuation
August 1939, 1,5 millions, children pregnant and vulnerable.
Overseas, train, countryside Canada USA Australia and south Africa
No bombs, children and rest, send home
Stayed, wasn’t easy and cheap
Travel home, ship and train, hard to figure
The end of evacuation
September 1945, allies won 6 years, axis power losers
Recover injuries, evacuated live life, claimed lives
Family dead, German soldiers,
Worse neighborhood, totally bombed, only remaining
How to be a child during ww2
Scary, exciting, bad
6 years alone, happen to family or friends
Come back, gone, never the same again.
Terrible time, big war
My own opinion / my experience
Terrible, never happen, feel bad
