Kit Carson’s Biography Kit Carson was an American Indian fighter, who loved to explore new areas and mountains. Christopher Houston Carson, also known as Kit Carson, came to the world on Christmas Eve 1809 in Madison Country in Kentucky. He had 13 brothers and sisters, and he was the 9th child. When he was an infant, his family moved to Howard Country. He spend most of his childhood in Boone’s Lick.
