His name was Mark. He lived in North London with his girlfriend. They loved to explore London, and be a typical tourist around the streets, visiting the cafés and markets and getting to know the locals. He worked as an IT consultant at a giant company and earned a lot of money, because he was so good at his job. Mark’s girlfriend was proud of him. Mark had many busy days, because his work filled a large part of his life. Suddenly one day his phone rang. He looked at the display and saw that it was from his mother. She rang from Glasgow.
He picked up the phone quickly up to his ear. ‘Hi Mark, guess what?’ I have talked with your girlfriend Penny. She told me you’re going to be a dad. He could hear the excitement in her voice when she broke the news. He could hardly believe it. He pinched his arm. It was true. He couldn’t help himself; he jumped for joy. He couldn’t believe he was going to be a dad. He had so many questions in his head. This meant that Mark was going to start having more days off from his job, so he could use his time at his family. He was so happy to hear the news that he began kissing strangers on the street. While he did it he shouted ‘I’m going to be a dad!’ and all smiled at him.
