Bullying is something a lot of people have experienced, some more than other. There are mixed ideas of what it does to someone, a lot would say it ruined their childhood, though some would also say that it made them the person they are today. Them having so much anger and having to prove so much, makes them some of the most successful people.

In the story An American short story we follow a story through a narrator, a boy who went to a normal school, he was just a normal kid not too smart not too dumb.

One day a new boy named Harry Hands came to the school, he on the other hand was a bright kid.

Even though everybody hated him, he always was positive and smiled, seeming like he knew he was going to become, the CEO of his own company.

In the story there was a time where the kids threw Harry hands’ pants up a tree, the Narrator talks about how the teachers told him and the other kids to fetch the pants,

but Harry told them of, saying “they’re mine. I`ll get ‘em”.

Showing responsibility for one’s own and coping in such a situation, is a trait not many people have. Climbing up the tree Harry looked down and pissed on the other, showing his dominance in a situation where people would succumb to the bullies and beg them to stop. Though he takes it with salt and does it himself, which might later have been the mindset which got him to the position of CEO, taking the opportunity to have an advantage on the competition and actually making himself the winner of the hole encounter.
